Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute
Although I never bought Rise Against's first CD, I knew after seeing them a couple times that I needed to buy this one. "Revolutions Per Minute" has awesome cover art that implies listening to this CD is like plugging your headphones into a hand grenade. They weren't joking either. From the very start - this disc grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go for nearly 38 minutes. It is awesome. If you've never heard Rise Against, think about Good Riddance's angrier songs. That's what Rise Against sound like to me, and I love it. You can really hear the energy that they exude when you see them live. Now I know why the kids go so crazy every time Rise Against comes to town. Recorded at The Blasting Room with Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore behind the knobs, this CD sounds great. I recommend this disc to fans of punk rock and hardcore. It's really good!
