Eleventeen - In The Air
This is the second CD from the group from San Francisco that features members of Joystick, Model American and Maps. It's pretty good and reminds me of Jimmy Eat World a little bit. It also reminds me of this local band called Acceptance, who just got signed to The Militia Group. "In The Air" is a nice blend of poppy, upbeat punk with elements of rock and hardcore every now and then. The singer has whiney vocals, but not in a bad way. The more I listen to this, the more it sounds like Acceptance, it's weird. Neither Acceptance nor Eleventeen will blow you away, but they don't suck either. If you like Jimmy Eat World, you should be into this. I can tell this is one of those CDs that will really grow on you.
