I know this is an older album, and I’m a little behind the times, but I was getting a little tired of all the pop punk stuff I’ve been listening to, and was seeking out something harder. Seek no more. This album blows me away. The first time I listened to it, it didn’t quite click with me, and I put it aside for about a week. However, I gave it another shot, and it has seen steady rotation in my CD player ever since. Converge tear through your ears like Q-Tips made of steel wool. They have some of the best metal riffs I have ever heard, with some of the most intense screams as well. I have found this style of hardcore to be very therapeutic, and you should definitely check it out if you need to release some anger, or are just looking for something different.
